There’s a secret weapon that local businesses can use to rank higher on the web against their competitors. They’re called local sites, and places like Google Plus Local, Bing Local, Yelp and Foursquare can help you stand out and get found easily.
The easiest way to find out what’s available in local sites is to visit getlisted.org. From there you can enter your business name and zip code for a listing of all the places you can register your business. My favorite, Google Plus Local (formerly Google Places) just announced a way for business owners to see their reviews across the entire web.
