Millennials Fuel Demand for Mobile Responsive Websites

BB-MobileMillennials use their smartphones all the time. In a recent eMarketer article, a June 2014 Mitek study shows that nearly 87% of Millennials said their phones never leave their side, and 80% admit they instantly reach for them when they wake up. The same study shows that 27% of millennials surveyed attempt to access a mobile site of a business multiple times per day. eMarketer says that this is fueling the demand for mobile responsive websites. 

The study found that 86% of respondents felt that many companies’ websites don’t offer good mobile functionality. This audience admits to surfing on a tablet or phone to search websites at least once daily, and that smartphones are their device of choice for internet and app access. If you read these statistics and think that the millennial generation isn’t your target audience – understand that these “kids” are now aged 14 to 32.
