There is a new Facebook profile once again. Unveiled last month and now mandatory as of Monday, has Facebook become more user friendly or creepier?
With the new rollout of Facebook profiles you can easily see info users have provided (current city, relationship status, and work info). It’s more business-minded and LinkedIn-esque. Small features like this will come in handy when users are searching for other users’ profiles. It will also come in handy when searching for potential employers and potential employees.
Perhaps on a creepier note with Facebook’s new changes you can see everything someone writes on their friend’s wall, without being friends with them. Privacy, done. Although this new change is leaving some feeling wary about their information, others really appreciate the change Facebook has made. That said, I think the new profiles are a great move for the social media site – the extra convenience and options are a big win for power-users of Facebook and make the site more accessible to “newbies.”
What are your thoughts on the new change? Do you think it’s creepy or is it awesome? Let me know in the comment section below or on our Facebook or Twitter page. I look forward to chatting with you.
Until next time, stay bizzy.
