What Is Google My Business?
In a nutshell: Google My Business is an overall interface for managing your business(es) on Google. It’s a hub for your Local Search Listing, Google Analytics and Adwords. You may have also heard of Google+ – as of 2018, Google is shifting businesses away from Google+ to Google My Business. What Does Google My Business Do?
Google My Business is a way of managing your information and what appears online when someone searches for your business. Searchers on Google can see basic information like your name, hours, location, phone number and website. You can also post to Google My Business to give yourself a slight boost in the rankings by being an active page. The most important advantage of Google My Business is that you can define the areas you serve and your business will show up on Google when someone in that area searches for your services.
How Do I Create Google My Business?
Creating a page can be a little tricky, because Google will sometimes automatically create a listing for you.
